This blog will be an attempt to open another (multidirectional) channel of communication for those taking or auditing STAT 756 at McMaster with me (Ben Bolker) in winter term 2011. (Alternative channels are Discussions on Avenue 2 Learn; e-mail threads on the d-r-users mailing list; or collaborative editing via the Working Wiki. I decided that this channel would reach the right audience and offer the lowest barriers for people who had something to contribute.)
I will try to post interesting tidbits about topics relevant to class (graphics, statistics, life) here on a semi-regular basis, and encourage others to do so as well (I will try to modify settings so people can post directly; if that doesn't work, you can e-mail me stuff to post).
